The Keymar Evangelical Wesleyan Church had its beginnings in 1937 as the result of a group of people who were holding prayer meetings in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Crumbacker. The Crumbackers began listening to a radio broadcast called "The Family Worship Hour" which was under the direction of Reverend and Mrs. Paul Taylor, pastors of the Evangelical Christian Church in Hanover, Pennsylvania. At the invitation of the prayer group, Reverend and Mrs. Taylor held a tent meeting in Keymar. As the result of several tent meetings in the area, and the prayer meetings that were being held, the group of people grew and became the church congregation now called Keymar Evangelical Wesleyan Church.
Since those days in 1937 the people of Keymar EWC have been and continue praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to help them impact the surrounding communities for the Kingdom of God. We welcome you to join us in this rich heritage as we move into the future.
